Facing off with an out-of-form City team, Juventus went toe-to-toe with Pep Guardiola's side, finally finding the breakthrough early in the second half on a goal from Dusan Vlahovic. The striker was assisted by Kenan Yildiz, who crossed a ball right in for Vlahovic to head to give Juve the lead.
Tim Weah and Weston McKennie, then, combined to put the game out of reach, and they did so together. A few minutes after coming on as substitutes, Weah assisted McKennie, playing in a cross that the midfielder volleyed home, giving Juve a 2-0 lead and, ultimately, all three points.

“Weston can do everything," Juventus boss Thiago Motta said of the American. "He has unusual physicality, but also great technique, knows when to time his runs and can be even more dangerous when he comes in from behind, as we saw today and against PSV.
“We are fortunate to have players with these qualities, because he can give us different alternatives during a match. I am happy for him and all the players this evening.”

The goal was massive for Juventus, who take a massive leap up the table with the three points earned on Wednesday. Entering the match, Juve had earned just eight points from five games, putting them in real danger of missing the knockout rounds.
Just as importantly, it was a huge goal for McKennie and Weah, both of whom are continuing to battle for more minutes at Juve. McKennie has been in and out of the XI, but continues to step up with goals in big moments for. Weah, meanwhile, started the season hot before seeing that momentum derailed due to an injury. Now healthy, Weah is back contributing to goals, and this one will be special considering it was an assist to his longtime friend and USMNT teammate.
