Reguilon was linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer after the Spanish defender was told that he was not in Ange Postecoglou's plans for the season. However, the 28-year-old was unable to secure a move before the end of the summer transfer window and ended up staying with the North London side.

Reguilon had not made a single appearance this season for Tottenham Hotspur this season but made a surprise substitute cameo against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-final as he came on in the 91st minute as Postecoglou looked to secure Spurs' 4-3 lead against Ruben Amorim's Red Devils. Reguilon has now shared a hilarious message on his Instagram, reacting to his first appearance this season.

Reguilon shared a post on Instagram, with the hilarious caption: "Look mum, I played a football game yesterday," despite only playing one minute in the clash.

The Spaniard who spent the last season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford was in Tottenham's matchday squad for three straight games but missed out on the call-up from Postecoglou in their last Premier League clash. The same is likely to be the case once again when Spurs take on Liverpool on Sunday, December 22 in the Premier League.
