Argentina international Martinez has been at Villa Park since 2020. He has helped the Villans to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, allowing them to grace the Champions League in 2024-25.

He is a two-time winner of the FIFA Best Goalkeeper Award and has a World Cup winners’ medal to his name. Martinez is considered to form part of the global elite, but is now 32 years of age.
