Cooper is expected to miss up to six weeks after he required surgery on a knee problem, while Dallas will be out for at least a month after fracturing his foot.
Both players were heavily criticised for their performances last season, but Cooper in particularly has bounced back since the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa.
The one silver lining is the fact that Bielsa may now be forced to play Jamie Shackleton at right back, after the versatile youngsters impressed in that position earlier this season.
