Aston Villa fans have been largely delighted with the form of Tyrone Mings since the centre-back arrived on loan from Bournemouth during the January window.
However, a number took to social media to criticise the 26-year-old for his performance against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night.
Villa suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Baggies in the second leg of their Championship playoff semi-final, but Dean Smith’s side won the resulting penalty shootout to book their spot in the final.
According to WhoScored, Mings only made one tackle on Tuesday night.
The defender picked up a yellow card in the 16th minute, though, and did look slightly nervy making challenges from that point forward.

Villa are through to the playoff final – where they will face either Leeds United or Derby County – but the performance of Mings in the second leg of the semi-final slightly disappointed the club’s fans.
