For the second time in as many weeks, Leeds United have received a setback in their hunt for Che Adams.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has previously come out to say that it wasn’t possible for the striker to leave the club on loan this month, and he’s now reaffirmed that view in his most recent press conference.
The Saints boss plainly stated that it’s not possible for the striker to leave the club on loan this month, but then again, he said the same thing last week.
However, this time it seems as if Leeds fans have been defeated by the boss’ insistence as they’ve finally admitted that it’s time to move on from the striker.
This is quite a contrast to their reactions to Hasenhuttl’s previous remarks as a number of Leeds fans weren’t willing to give up hope in signing him, but now it seems as if they’re ready to admit that their dream of signing the attacker is over.
Others had a different reaction to this news as they began to suggest other attacking options that Leeds should be looking at.
Billy Sharp and Dwight Gayle have recently been linked and a couple of fans wanted to see them come through the door, while others had more outlandish suggestions such as going back in for Eddie Nketiah or recalling Jay-Roy Grot.
In other news, Leeds may have just dodged a transfer bullet by missing out on one youngster.
